Sport Nutrition
This course provides you with the knowledge of essential nutritional needs to enhance the performance in sports. It covers the macro nutrient and micro nutrient aspects for an athlete before, during, and after the training or competition. The importance of hydration and the effect of ergogenic will be discussed as well

Course Goals
- Upon successful completion of the course, participants will gain knowledge in:
- The mechanism by which food is digested, absorbed, and metabolized, and how the waste products are excreted;
- The major functions of the macro and micro nutrients;
- Good and practical food sources of the macronutrients;
- The effects of food choices on physical fitness and health;
- The principles of energy balance and how various weight-control diets work to meet appropriate weight goals;
- The appropriate nutrition planning principles for various populations.
